Beer Sommelier of the year - Meantime Brewing Company

"Rod Jones was born into a family of generations of pub owners, and started home brewing at the age of 16. He has spent far too much of his adult life in pubs and bars all over Europe, and completely lost count of the number of beers he has tried over many years.
He joined Meantime in early 2007 as Production Brewer, and over the next two and a half years gained a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the brewing process.

When the microbrewery at The Old Brewery on the historic Old Royal Naval College site in Greenwich was opened in early 2010, he transferred there as Head Brewer, a position he occupied until late 2012. He combined this role with beer sommelier work, staff training, tutored beer tastings, brewery tours and educational/ambassadorial roles, which he continues to the present day.
Rod was awarded the coveted Institute of Brewing and Distilling title of Beer Sommelier of the Year 2015/2016. He is a SIBA (Society of Independent Brewers) Beer Competition Judge, and a member of the British Guild of Beer Writers."
