With successful concept opening and operation management in Norway, Denmark and Ireland, and expertise acquired through his work with International hotel chains such as The Marriot, Ray has recently moved to Stockholm, and joined the international beverage consulting company Liquid Management Sweden, in the position of consultant. He has over the past few months been responsible for the opening and management of Stockholm’s newest Rum bar, “Cantineros Stockhom”, which has received critical acclaim across the industry.
Ray’s personal interest in whisky has seen him focus on the Irish heritage. Visits to the distilleries, along with personal contact with Master distillers has helped him better understand the intricate world of Irish whiskey. His no –nonsense approach to the world of distillates is sure to shed light and give you a new perspective on that growing segment.
The master class will aim at taking you on the historical journey of the Irish distilling tradition in general, and Tullamore Dew in particular. From production facility and raw material to ageing and sensory analysis of the final products, Ray will lead you through the exciting world of Tullamore dew.
Far from being all-theory, you will be invited to taste some of Ray’s very own cocktail libations during the whole seminar, as well as taught through the making of Tullamore Dew’s original contribution to history, The classic Irish Coffee.
